A FAMILY TRADITION: The Heringer Family has been farming the Clarksburg Delta for over 145 years. Duke's ancestors emigrated from Holland and pioneered the farming of the upper delta, as the land and water characteristics were very similar to those in their homeland.
Duke and his family started growing wine grapes in the 1970's and sold wine grapes through the decades to many of the great wineries in California. The Heringer family is esteemed for being respectful and resourceful land managers and for always being on the cutting edge of innovative farming techniques.
