Gary Branham began cultivating his passion for wine making in 1971. Enrolling in the Graduate School at U.C. Davis in 1975 studying Enology and Viticulture. This gave him the opportunity to work with some of the famous pioneers of California winemaking. Davis launched his career that has now lasted 33 years and is comprised of diverse worldwide wine related experiences.
Working in wineries and vineyards has taken him from Napa Valley, New Zealand, Healdsburg (CA), Australia, Santa Clara (CA), Australia then back to the Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Working all facets of production, from cellar to fieldwork, lab tech to winemaker has lead to the fulfillment of a lifelong goal. In 1994, he started Branham Estate Wines and began planting his own grapes. Branham has an exceptional reputation as a premier winemaker and his own labels reflect his dedication in producing high-quality, handcrafted wines, from estate grown grapes.
